237 GI Charlotte NC There are 5 physicians in this group and one PA. The practice has been
established for 16 years. They are looking for bread and butter GI, ERCP
would be a plus but not required. Good endoscopic skills, hard worker,
honest and affable. 1/6 is the expected call (includes hospital call) with
2 Fridays off every 6 weeks. 4 weeks of vacation to start. Salary of
$170k - $180k to start. Malpractice covered and moving expenses.

assets in minimal, $15k, buy in to A/R paid pretax. 30% overhead is what
the group is running. This is a very busy practice in a rapidly growing
area. 50% private pay, 40% medicare, and 10% medicaid/indigent. 70%
caucasion, 25% african american, 5% hispanic. They collect greater than 90%
of charges. There are 11 employees in the practice. The patient base is
about 250k. They see 100 patients in the office per day with 6 - 10
consults in the hospital daily with 30 - 50 procedures per day for the
group. The office is open 8 am to 6 pm. The office is 7k square feet with
flex sig in office plenty of room. colonoskopy, ERCP, other procedures at
the hospital.
703 GI   NC They are 4 GIs looking for a 5th physician. When in the office, they see
15 - 20 patients in a 1/2 day with 5 - 10 new patients daily. When at the
hospital, they do 80 procedures per week. They alternate weeks on call.
When on call they don't do any office practice, they stay in house at the
hospital. They alternate between the hospital and the clinic. They do all
procedures including ERCP and Therapeutics. The hospitalists admit their
patients so this is a consultative service. The hospital is 350 beds, 200
physicians on staff, and they have an open heart program. It is a 6 week
wait for an appointment. When on call, the doc is at the hospital all week.
The other week is 1/2 day in the office and 1/2 day at the GI lab. $250k
starting pay with quarterly productivity bonuses, 18 months to partnership
with a minimal buy in of $50k for stock in the corporation. This community
is close to the ocean. The drawing area totals 200 - 300k.
704 GI   NC Client with 6 GIs looking for a 7th person. All have graduated from top
programs and that is what they are looking for. Hospital system has over
1000 beds and a level 2 trauma center in town. They have their own
endoscopy suite and do some affiliated teaching. They have one doc there
retiring. They do ERCP, diag and theurapeutics, EUS, bread and butter GI.

Each clinic has their own endoscopy suite. They have two hospitals that
have a fully blown endoscopy suite. They rotate being the physician who
cares for the hospital patients. They share normal call. The other docs
are in the clinic, they do procedures as well. One of the hospitals is
directly across the street from the clinic. The facilities are 7 minutes
apart. All of the practitioners are less than 6 years out of fellowship
training. This is a very young group.

Excellent starting salary and productivity bonus is open to negotiation.
Partnership 3rd year with productivity. Full benefit package, 4 weeks
vacation to start with 6 as a partner.
705 GI   NC

They are a 3 person group and want to expand to 4. They alternate two weeks
in the office and 1 week in the hospital. They see 30 patients in the
office with 2 procedures at lunch and 10 - 12 in the hospital with
endoscopic procedures. They see 6 new patients per day at both the office
and the hospital. They have an opportunity to expand their practice to a
very upper income area. They work out of three hospitals. They have been
in the community for 13 years.

They will guarantee a base level income and cover standard benefits such as
medical, malpractice, cme, vacation. They have life, disability, and
retirement plan in the second year. They will offer partnership after 2
years and the buy in is just $30k. Partnership income is expected to be
$400k - $800k range. They are looking for someone trained in ERCP and
Therapeutics. Endoscopic Ultrasound would be a bonus.
